Every year Siskiyou and Shasta County areas experiences winter storms and heavy snow that can make local roadways dangerous, hindering our ability to safely collect customers' waste on their regularly scheduled collection day.
Safety is a top priority for John Smith Sanitation, Inc. and we are committed to providing outstanding customer service.
We work hard to collect trash on your designated pick up day. Our garbage trucks are chained up and we always make our best attempt despite any weather condition. If we can access your cart, we will pick up, but please expect long delays.
We understand that in some areas of extremely heavy snow customers are unable to even wheel their carts down to the street, for this reason we understand if there is an extra bag outside of your garbage cart for the following week.
